Innovation and sustainability
Since 1995, Arbor’s mission remains unchanged: Creating a connection of innovative designs and sustainability. And we have to admit: The company, founded by Bob Carlson, really excel at their self-appointed task. Shortly after their foundation, the company already earned itself a brilliant reputation with their high-quality snowboards. Furthermore, Arbor was one of the first brands that valued our planet very highly. Already back there, they used materials like wood, bamboo or bio-plastic. But it doesn’t end there, the company also supports organisations like „The Conservation Alliance“, „Surfrider Foundation“ and „Arbor Day Foundation“. As a result, they can produce high-quality, handmade snowboards and skateboards while also minimizing their impact on nature. Shortly after the foundation, they extended their assortment. From then on they also offered longboards besides snowboards. They simply reshaped old snowboards and equipped them with wheels. Thus, they created an ideal way to hop onto the board, even when it’s not winter. Arbor regularly collaborates with atheletes, that share the same approach as the company itself. Luckily, the times, in which some people referred to Arbor as a hippie brand, are over. Nowaydays, they earn worldwide praise and recognition. This company manages to create innovative, cool and handmade snowboards, longboards and other products, that are basically too pretty to actually use, while perfectly balancing driving characteristics. And they do all that, while still valueing and protecting our planet, which they call „our shared playground“.
