Flow: Innovation at its best
If Neil Pryde and Reinhardt Hansen had not joined forces in 1992 to pursue a common vision, today's snowboard market would probably look very different. The two made it their mission to develop a binding that offered an easier entry and enhanced power transmission than the ratchet bindings that were common at the time. To this end, they founded the Flow brand, which launched its first collection of bindings and boots in 1996. The company established the category of speed-entry bindings, a system that still enjoys great popularity today. Bindings from Flow are equipped with a loop for the boot and a foldable shaft. The snowboarder slides the boot into the binding from behind and then folds the shaft upwards. The boot is then firmly fixed to the board. But Flow doesn't just have bindings in its range, it also has boots and snowboards for women, men and children. The company caters to every type of snowboarder, from beginners who enjoy relaxed runs on groomed slopes to pros who make daring tracks in freshly fallen deep snow.
